Our workshops focus on exploring an arts-based toolbox to equip participants to approach a given topic or issue through theatre, storytelling, and the arts. There is an emphasis on strategies to improve communication and community liberation. See below for current workshops!
Tell Your Story
A two-session art & storytelling workshop series that leads students through engaging and interactive art-making activities to explore their self-identities and connection to community. We prioritize the student voice, and give them the space to explore social and interpersonal issues important to them.
Sex Ed 101
You guessed it! This is Sex Ed 101. The perfect introduction to sexual health education. We will explore healthy relationships, safer sex, STI/STD prevention, unplanned pregnancy prevention, smashing stigma and more all through a reproductive justice framework. there will be moments for collective arts-based inquiry to explore relevant themes and topics. This is a workshop for adolescents, teens, and young adults!
Nourishing Our Souls
What is radical self care? And why is it important? We explore what radical self care is, why it is important to movement work, and create an action plan to incorporate more radical self care into our daily routines. A great workshop for students, parents, teachers, budding activist, and more!
Arts in Health 101
We take a dive into the emerging academic field of arts in health and medicine. We explore real life examples of how the arts are being used to address some of our most pressing public health and healthcare issues including racism, collective trauma, exclusion and isolation, chronic disease and more! The course culminates in a group case-study, where we create our own arts in health program. This is a particularly good workshop for older high school students, college students, and health organizations.
In this immersive and hands-on theatre experience, join our eccentric characters Mandy, Manny, and Gert as they plan the best. party. EVER!!!! Children entering preschool, kindergarten, first grade & second grade will explore what it means to make healthy lifestyle choices as they help characters prepare for a party in an immersive and interactive theatre experience. Children will plan the best party of the century while exploring the importance of choosing healthy foods, physical activity, hygiene, and safety.
